Five Evening Rituals

1. Dim the lights an hour before bed

Even soft lamp light cues your body that the day is folding in. Replace overheads with one warm bulb in the corner of the room.

2. A warm foot soak with sea salt

Five minutes of warm water and a handful of salt is one of the oldest ways to draw the day's tension downward and out.

3. A breath count of four

Four in, six out. Repeat ten times in bed. The longer exhale gently signals safety to your vagus nerve.

4. A pot of chamomile or tulsi

Brewed slow, sipped slower. The act of holding a warm cup is half the medicine.

5. Lights out by ten

The hours before midnight are the most restorative. Even a few earlier nights a week shift everything.
